Sunnyslope’s JROTC team had four 2-person teams place in the top 20 out of 205 total teams competing at the Prescott Orienteering Event on Saturday, Sept 14th at Prescott.
Cadets Cash Davis & Jonas Nasario Alatorre earned medals and got 2nd place out of all 205 teams.
Orienteering is a Land Navigation competition where 2-person teams use a compass and topographical map to strive to find as many markers on a roughly 4-square mile mountainous wilderness course. Each team has 2 hours to navigate to many markers, collecting as many points as possible.
