About

Sunnyslope High School has had a school newspaper since the inaugural issue published the first month the school opened: September, 1953. The first paper was called The Question Mark which likely alluded to the yet-to-be-determined personality, mascot, and colors of the school. The first issue includes photos of the original campus buildings, as well as opening registration. The paper mentions the first school dance, and the first football game.

Later named The Viking Views, the school paper has been in constant publish — even during the Covid-19 shutdown. The Viking Views has since become 100% online, and the journalism staff has begun publishing a all color companion magazine called The Sunnyslope Sage.
