Epic Games proudly released Fortnite Chapter Two Remix on November 2 using key aspects from Fortnite OG to recreate the desired version.
By including throwback and modernized items, Fortnite is in its prime.
“One of the best parts of OG Fortnite was the hot drop spots. My favorite place to land was Lazy Lake, and they actually put it back in the game,” said Freshman Max Staats.
A large request from Fortnite players was to bring back the Chapter 2 Season 1 map, and they got just that.
Players also made suggestions towards bringing original weapons back into the game.
“Now that the gold scar [rifle] is back with no recoil, I get more kills because my aim is way better,” said Junior Jake Keebler.
With the return of said materials, the original gameplay strategies resurface as well.
“I love using the grappler. I can rush squads and leave when I need to,” said Sophomore Ryan Van Buren.
As the game evolves, the players do as well.
There have been many new additional tactics discovered by popular streamers that average players have mastered.
“I’ve gotten better over the years and now that I know how to build, I feel like I’m more difficult to kill,” said Sophomore Nahder Seyoum.
On the other hand, there’s players that feel defeated every time they play.
“I played a little bit but couldn’t get any wins, so I just gave up,” said Freshman Tressa Gulick. There have been many complaints regarding the level of players, and how the lobbies are put together.
Players have claimed their being put in lower level lobbies, before getting ambushed by talented players.
“I literally pickaxed someone, and then got sniped. When I started spectating, he had a FNCS back bling,” said Junior Sophia Abrahamson.
FNCS invitational players were rewarded with these back blings, and players know that only highly skilled gamers have access to them.
Overall, the majority of Fortnite players are pleased to see the original game make a return.
“I used to play Fortnite a couple years ago and to see the OG season come back makes me want to play again,” said Senior Sergio Mansoor.
