Sunnyslope High School Vice Principal Dr. Lovell is serving his last dean days on May 21st, leaving students and staff with sorrow as they say their goodbyes to the man who helped create an unforgettable community at Sunnyslope High School. Sunnyslope celebrated D.Love Day as a gesture for everyone to say goodbye to Dr. Lovell’s last weeks at Sunnyslope High School before retirement.
Teachers believe that Dr. Lovell has always been a joyful person to them and their students. Choir Teacher Tamara Krause said, “He’s always been super supportive of what we do.”
While teachers believe that he is supportive, he is also described as a good role model.
Senior Iris Butler said, “he takes a great approach to those in need of help; keeping a smile on his face as he does so.” Iris explains, that Dr. Lovell helped her handle a tough situation and remained calm while doing so. In her point of view, it was admirable of how he handled the problem.
Teachers, students, and staff, believe that Dr. Lovell is an amazing vice principal, and will always be an amazing Viking despite his retirement.
Krause said, “Once a Viking always a Viking.” Dr. Lovell is an overall helpful and genuine person, upsettingly, the new freshman that will come in next year will not get to experience his positive presence on campus.
He will always be an amazing Viking to Sunnyslope High School.
