The walls are filled with pieces of historical pop-culture memorabilia, and the bell has rung and class is in session for a riveting time.
Within the charming classroom, students are in for a good time. World history has always been an intriguing topic to go over. Which is why Sunnyslope teacher Mr. Robinson, one of the World History teachers, understands that he must make his curriculum engaging. Since the amount of history in the world is unfathomable and abundant, so it’s important that students have the right teacher to keep students paying attention, like Mr. Robinson.
During class, students can find themselves pen in hand and journals ready for notes. By being a part of Mr. Robinson’s class, students learn to analyze, annotate. and thoughtfully articulate the information presented to them. The result is students raising their understanding of what information is more important and what they don’t need to waste their time on. One of the things I grew to understand was that the majority of Roman culture was inspired by Greek culture.
However, Mr. Robinson isn’t about to just let the time pass with pure silence; he presents the material thoroughly as he often finds himself cracking jokes and getting really immersed in the presentation. It’s like watching an obsessed artist who gets lost in their craft, like Van Gogh and Starry Night.
He has a serious yet playful manner during class. With his expectations of students completing their work and communicating in a timely manner for extra help or time, he often gives students time to do class and most of all there are no curveballs in his class. Everything you can expect is written explicitly on the board with a deadline or timeline. More importantly, the assignments assigned are the studying resources for exams, so you refer to the material done often and not wasting anyone’s time.
“I like his reviews because they always help with my grades on his test,” Sophomore Faith Legere said.
“He is a very good comedian, and he’s very reasonable when it comes to deadlines,” Sophomore Nora Skeivik said.
“He explains the material well and answers all of the questions we have even if we don’t understand it,” Sophomore Ian Hurley Said.
It’s quite clear, Mr. Robinson really cares about his teaching as he makes it easy and enjoyable for all his students. So if you’re a freshman make sure you get Mr. Robinson for your world history teacher since he won’t ever let you down.
