The door is welcoming, opened to the public by a door stopper. Multiple flags lie on the wall outside, showing obviously what the class is.
The language class’s entryway shows that the class has a wonderful environment inside.
The German 1-2 class that Paul Herschberger – or Herr Herschberger in German – teaches allows students to learn a new language, and makes sure they have fun while doing that.
The class never has homework, allowing the students to have a great attitude about the class. The projects that are given secretly make the students learn the language better by making them put it to use, but also aren’t too hard as to make them stressed.
Mr. Herschberger always has a calm and fun attitude, only dipping into professionalism when he needs to give instructions.
Some students in his class discuss how his teaching methods work so well.
“Herschberger helped me learn German because he lets his class listen to the way he speaks German himself and has us replicate it, allowing us to get a basic understanding of how to say the words,” said Freshman Quinn Pradhan.
Others spoke on how he uses his personality to help his students understand.
“His manner helped me because I wasn’t stressed out while learning,” said Senior Christopher Sanchez.
Students also said that his choice to give no homework helps them learn.
“It makes the in-class work feel easy, because there’s low stress, which helps me learn German better,” said Freshman Teague Litz.
With so many good “reviews” of him and his class, you can tell that Herschberger shows his passion for teaching to foster a love for learning languages in his students.
Spread the word– make sure everyone knows to select Mr. Herschberger’s classes when they choose a language class!
