You walk into your first day of school hoping none of your classes are bad. As you walk into K317, Mr. King’s room, you are surrounded by photos of previous students of sunnyslope highschool. You realize that although you are scared you are surrounded by a community of a school. As Mr. Kings introduces himself and this years objective you are excited for what the year is going to bring for you.
Throughout the year journalism has brought many opportunities for learning experiences. From learning to take a photo on an actual camera to learning out to use photoshop on a really old computer. Journalism is always a class to keep you on your toes. Some days you can use the class as a study hall and others you are learning history about newspapers.
Freshman Aldi Bosnjo describes Journalism 1-2 as a class she “can always look forward to throughout the day.”
With all kinds of knowledge soaked up throughout the year from classes of many different kinds, Journalism is always a great escape from stress. With easy-going but varieties of projects to do, they make Journalism exciting for all types of people.
Freshman Eleanor Bednearek says how much she “enjoys creating different types of visuals for all of the exciting news she learns throughout the class.”
Not only are students learning current news, but they are also learning the upbringing of journalism and news throughout the years. They are learning how the very beginning of journalists changed the world forever because of their writings.
Bosnjo says how much she “enjoyed learning about all types of news and how she can apply many things she has learned in Journalism to her everyday life when watching or reading the news.”
Journalism is a great way to express the artistic side of you while also dealing with the dirt truth of the everyday news. It is a great way to connect to others through opinions and see a new side of the world many have never seen before.
