Imagine a class where you’re excited to walk in — where you laugh, play games, get free time, and still somehow learn a whole new language. Sounds too good to be true, right? But it exists — and it’s hands down the best class at Sunnyslope High.
And the person who makes all that happen? That’s Sarah Glover — the awesome teacher behind Honors Spanish 5-6. She makes learning fun, and her class proves that school doesn’t have to be boring to be meaningful.
In Honors Spanish 5-6, we do more than just sit and take notes. We play games that help us learn Spanish, take tests and quizzes to challenge what we know, and write essays that make us think in a whole new language. I’ve learned a ton of hard Spanish words, how to write full essays in Spanish, and even how to connect better with my classmates.
Sophomore Tate Jacobs said, “What I liked most about Ms. Glover’s class was how engaging she was and how all the work she had us do helped build our bilingual skills. My favorite part was probably the interactive games or how she had us speak to other students in Spanish — it made us use the language instead of just memorizing it.”
I’ve even memorized random but cool facts about Glover’s life just because she makes learning so personal and fun. Honestly, I’ve picked up more Spanish in this class than I did in Spanish 3-4, because back then it didn’t even feel like we were learning the language. This class sticks with you.
This class is like a Spanish theme park — there’s always something exciting going on, whether it’s a game, a funny story, or a new way to learn. One minute you’re laughing at a joke, and the next you’re writing a whole essay in Spanish without even realizing how much you’ve learned. It’s fun, fast, and way better than your average class ride.
Glover does a good job because she’s not a traditional teacher. She always makes sure her students are engaged and feel heard. She’s funny, real, and brings this amazing energy that makes you want to be in her class. Yeah, she jokes around, uses dark humor, and sometimes even throws things (playfully!), but she’s upfront about it. At the beginning of the year, she tells everyone how she is and gives them the chance to speak up if they’re not comfortable — but nobody ever does. That’s because everyone respects her and loves her just the way she is.
Sophomore Genesis Lopez said, “I would say her class is the best I’ve had because her personality is beyond amazing, she is so helpful, and her classroom presence is so welcoming.” That energy is exactly what makes her class stand out — it feels like a safe, supportive space where students want to learn.
Junior Liv Madrid said, “I think the class is very fun and engaging. She always makes sure everyone is participating and having fun.” That’s so true — Glover knows how to include everyone and make each activity feel like more than just a lesson.
In the end, Honors Spanish 5-6 isn’t just a class — it’s an experience. It’s the kind of class that makes you actually want to come to school, not just because of what you’re learning, but because of how much fun it is. With all the jokes, games, and cool lessons, Ms. Glover’s class is something special. She shows us that learning a language can be fun and meaningful at the same time. That’s why it’s definitely the best class at Sunnyslope High. Make sure you ask your counselors to get this class for your year!
