The flame suddenly lights up the room, drawing everyone’s attention. Every student is in awe of the experiment and excitedly scrambles to make their own flame shine extraordinarily bright.
This science experiment is one of many intriguing activities a student will find themselves doing in Richard Stein’s Honors Chemistry class.
In Stein’s class, students learn all about basic chemistry rules, how to properly perform various experiments, and explore the world of chemistry.
Chemistry class is like riding a rollercoaster, it is pretty exciting and you never really know what to expect. Students will see that, like rides at an amusement park, there are definitely some ups and downs but people are usually glad they had the fun experience.
Stein’s class has a good amount of work and assignments to do but students also learn a lot from them.
With hands-on classwork, Stein makes sure that students are able to apply what they are learning to real experiments.
Many students agree with this statement and are particularly passionate about the different types of assignments that are done in class.
“I love this class because Mr. Stein is an amazing teacher with vast knowledge of the scientific world. My friends in this class make it so fun and I love doing labs and seeing new chemical reactions,” Sophomore Lucia Sanchez said.
When asked about why they love the class, students continued to highlight the teaching skills of Stein.
Sophomore Eva Jacobs stated, “Chem is my favorite class because Mr. Stein is a very intuitive teacher and allowed me to enjoy learning as a student.”
Other students also talked more about the environment in the classroom.
“Mr. Stein is inspiring and makes me want to put in the work every day,” said Sophomore Anabella Rohde.
Most students agree that this is the best class to take to learn and still have fun.
Spread the word so every student can make sure to request this class!
