Imagine a class where you get to move, laugh, compete, and vibe, and that counts as school? Yeah, it’s a real thing.
Welcome to Daniel Mannix’s gym, the one class where showing up in sneakers and your gym outfit is all you need.
In P.E., you’re not just running laps on the track. You get to play a diverses amount of sports inside and outside, do workouts, stretch, and learn how to actually take care of your body. You’ll build up your endurance, strength, and energy. It’s all about staying active, having fun, and finding ways to move that don’t feel boring.
Honestly, it’s like recess for teenagers, but with better games, older people, and a coach who is serious about you participating.
Coach Mannix gets it. He keeps things fair, fun, and calm, but still pushes you to improve. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or just trying to get in shape, he makes sure everyone feels included.
“P.E. is fire, but what makes it better are the times where we get to play dodgeball,” Freshman Joziah Diaz said. While others thought it wasn’t their thing,
“I don’t really mess with P.E. so I’m just there for the grade,” Freshman Jose Cardenas said. “At the start of the year, I wasn’t in shape, but now I feel like I can run a mile no problem,” Freshman Jeremiah Montoya said.
Don’t sleep on this class. Talk to your counselor as soon as possible to make sure you’ve got Physical Education with Mr. Mannix locked in. Trust me, your mind and your body will thank you in the long run.
