From time to time, a teacher comes around and proves their genuine passion to help students. The classroom is filled with books, ideas and many individuals waiting to learn something special. It has become more of a fun activity for many teachers, involving fun projects, books, watching and participating in movies.
While other teachers stick to routine assignments, other teachers give fun projects. Kevin Woods, an ELA teacher is an amusing teacher that hands out assignments in a fun and spectacular way catching students’ attention!
His rousing class helps in many aspects of everyone’s daily life, adding a new piece of learning into our brains! On a daily basis, he usually lets us read our independent books and gives us a simple assignment to ask what the story was about, at times he puts on a movie for us to observe while allowing us to snack on food. Not like many others, he joyfully incorporates fun into our learning instead of simply giving us work. In his class people learn different ways of using grammar like commas, semicolons and colons, which is a subject many people struggle with. He will be there and ask if you need help, if so he will explain it to you and help you out by giving you examples. A few facts that many learned was the actual proper way of using grammar and he taught us to always read your sentence to yourself quietly until you understood it. His class is like stepping into a ballroom ready to express every ounce of your voice.
Woods does an excellent job at his job as a teacher, he provides fluency, very friendly, supportive, and beneficial to our learning. He pushes us to our limit in a positive way which grants us the ability to remember what we learn and always ace our exam! He opens doors to a new society of students and allows them to express themselves in words.” Mr. Woods’ class has positively affected me because he has helped me learn a lot about writing formally to everybody, and my grammar. Mr. Woods is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.” Freshman Jordan Geschwentner said.
Others described how great the vibes and atmosphere are in his class,” One thing I’d say for sure is that Mr. Woods’ class is a 10 out of 10 Absolutely amazing. The energy, the positivity, just everything. The atmosphere is just outstanding.” Freshman Javin Chavez said.
Another freshman, Mason Trout shared his thoughts on Mr. Woods, he explains how he gives awesome advice about writing and with his deep knowledge on the subject he explains it really well for everyone to understand. If you’re an incoming freshman, be sure to let your counselor know that you’d like to enroll in Mr. Woods’ class!
