The moment Coachella fans have been waiting for is here: a new lineup flooded with unexpected performers has dropped.
The 2026 Coachella lineup has music fans at Sunnyslope absolutely thrilled.
Coachella tickets sold out for both weekends in just four days this year, a drastic improvement from the slow ticket sales of 2024 and 2025.
Thanks to popular artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber headlining the festival drove this year’s ticket sales to sell out quickly.
The excitement of this year’s lineup primarily came from pop artist Justin Bieber.
With his recent marriage to Hailey Baldwin and the birth of their son, fans never expected Bieber to make a return as shocking as this one: a headliner at Coachella.
“Justin Bieber is a shock because I feel like he’s been going through it,” said Senior Grace Rocha.
As shocking as his appearance may be, he is still a fan favorite.
Many music fans were joyous to hear that Bieber is headlining this upcoming Coachella. “I would probably most like to see Justin Bieber,” said Junior Aziza Moura, who went to Coachella in 2024.
However, he isn’t a fan favorite for everyone.
“I do not think that Justin Bieber should be on the lineup,” said Senior Cameron Wzalek, “Justin Bieber is a rat.”
Yet Bieber wasn’t the only artist students weren’t excited to see.
New and upcoming artist Addison Rae is also featured on the setlist.
While some people were surprised or even excited to hear this news, many were downright upset.
“I feel like Addison Rae shouldn’t be on the lineup; she needs to go get a real job,” said Senior Jeremy Simpson.
Addison Rae, a popular creator on TikTok, is believed to have only risen to fame due to her already large following on TikTok.
Since she was a teenager, Rae has relied heavily on her fans to make a living for herself.
While Simpson believes Rae should not be on the lineup, Moura said, “I really like how her music sounds.”
Music fans have all shared clashing opinions over the 2026 lineup.
Even though individuals cannot agree on which artists deserve to be on the lineup, every fan still has their favorite performer.
With a new and unique artist lineup this upcoming Coachella, fans are extremely excited to see their favorite artists perform on stage.
“If I saw Pink Pantheress live, I’d just about faint,” said Senior Owen Beltran.
Pink Pantheress is one of the many singers performing at Coachella for the very first time.
And although Simpson isn’t thrilled to see the appearance of many artists’ names on the setlist this year, he said, “I’m really happy the Lambrini Girls are popping out at Coachella this year.”
The Lambrini Girls are an English punk rock group who are making their big debut at Coachella this upcoming year, and Simpson says he’s their number one fan.
Whether Coachella fans can agree on who should or shouldn’t be on the 2026 lineup, one thing remains certain: this Coachella will be like no other.
With the return of iconic pop artist Justin Bieber and dozens of performances from upcoming artists, this festival is sure to spark a lot of attention.
