Hot Start for Viking Baseball

Sunnyslope baseball is off to a hot start going 7-0 in the first two weeks of the season.
The Vikings started the year off strong going undefeated in the 32nd Annual Adam Donnenfield Tournament to move to 4-0.
Notably, Sunnyslope upset Canyon Del Oro in the final round of the tournament.
An impressive home run by Senior Gavin Short that game helped secure the victory.
The Vikings played Maryville High School on February 26th winning with a dominant score of 19-0.
Junior Miles Keogh brought his A-game, appearing 5 times at bat and scoring 4 runs for Sunnyslope.
Next opponent was the formidable Basha team who beat Sunnyslope last year, but the Vikings pulled off the upset winning 7-3.
Senior Pitcher Diego Lovesy said, “It was tense playing Basha since they beat us pretty well last year.”
Lovesy pitched 105 times that game and played 6.1 innings and gave up 3 walks and no earned runs.
Sunnyslope Baseball has a bright season ahead of them and hopes to carry this momentum into their next game on March 5th against Perry.
