Sunnyslope FBLA plans to send multiple chosen students to Nationals on June 7th to July 3rd in order to honor these successful students according to the FBLA Advisor Josh Cunningham.
This event will take place in San Antonio, Texas for all of the hard working members of the FBLA.
Sunnyslope will be sending Annabella Rhode, Joey Crafton, Greta Kasselman, Ethan Valles, Mickey Gerdes, Tennyson Usher, and Corey Kapitan off to nationals.
“It’s always a great feeling to see the students be successful,” Cunningham said.
Cunningham continues to praise his students for their self determination.
Cunningham said as an adviser, his duty is to “help them prepare in whatever ways they need,” and once they’re ready, they begin to take charge and “it’s all on them.”
Sophomore Ethan Valles shares his insights of the club itself and the honor of being part of the chosen group.
Valles said he feels “honored to be going to the Nationals Competition,” and the experience of the club is “truly out of this world.”
Valles and his group felt immense joy at the sudden announcement of their group being chosen.
“When I saw my group’s name on the big screen, we jumped up right away and felt so excited to have won. We couldn’t believe that we got second in the state,” Valles said.
The overall benefits of the club are expressed by Junior Anabella Rohde.
Rohde said the club offers and delivers the chance to “gain confidence, experience, and opportunities in business for the future.”
Junior Ian Rufkahr talked about his confidence he has for both himself and his peers.
Rufkahr said he’s “proud” of himself and his friend, Junior Tennyson Usher for their hard work and their positive chance at “winning the nationals.”
Usher thanked his FBLA advisor with praise.
“Mr Cunningham is the best advisor I could ever ask for and brings the club to a whole new level,” said Usher.
Cunningham is proud of his students for their effort and achievements.
“I am happy for them to be successful and see the reward of their hard work,” said Cunningham.
