Dodgeball Excites Crowd

image_pdfimage_print

Student Council held a dodgeball tournament filled with school spirit, awesome activity, and a sense of competitive community on May 2nd.
To participate, students needed to rally a team of 8 and pay a fee of $10.
Students were able to put together 8 teams, adding up to a large 64 total participants plus some STUCO members.
The 8 teams were: The Founding Fathers, The Ballerz, Ball of Duty, BC Elite, Tie Me A River, Team Alphas, Team Refs, and Men In Black.
These teams were competing for a homemade trophy – a dodgeball with a toy tiger on it, all painted gold.
The tournament was a highly competitive event according to Senior Connor Keogh, but it was all in good fun.
It was more about the experience rather than the prize, and the tournament lasted around an hour and a half with the Alphas claiming victory.
Keogh was on The Founding Fathers and also was an announcer, and he said his favorite part was “jokingly talking trash and calling out teams. It was a lot of fun in general.”
Keogh also said future Student Councils should 100% arrange more events like this one, because it brings a lot of fun to the campus, and many students want to participate.
t was something that people wanted to be a part of and brought a lot of spirit and Keogh said, “Events like these are not something we always have, and it was very fun.”
