From the pumpkin spice lattés to the spooky Halloween costumes, what’s not to love about the Fall, and since the season is almost over, let’s take a look back on what Sunnyslope students found the most trendy of them all.

There are hundreds of traditions students have during this time of year, each are unique and special to each person.

Sophomore Hailey Pimber said, “I love pumpkin carving, it’s so unique and quite odd but that’s what makes it so cool. It’s so interesting to see the finished product at the end of all your hard work.”

Fall is the season of change, like the changes in the leaves.

Sophomore Greyson Beckett said, “Something I want to do this Fall is just rake up a lot of leaves and make lots of piles to jump in, it’s so much fun.”

There’s always that one thing that makes the Fall season feel like Fall.

Sophomore Zachery Hyzer said, “I love the weather, it feels great when it’s not 100 degrees all the time. It’s also the best time for hoodies and sweatshirts, which are always so comfortable to wear.”

No matter what students are doing this year, there’s always one must-do activity on everyone’s list.

Junior Ava Vanacore said, “I’m mostly looking forward to the State Fair and Fear Farm. Everybody needs to go because it’s so much fun and they actually have Halloween rides there too, they just have such a great atmosphere and can both be so exciting. It’s just something I look forward to every year.”

But who could forget about Halloween, an essential part of Fall.

Junior Ricardo Roman Gallardo said, “So many components make up Halloween, like the candy, the costumes, the decorations, and the overall feeling of the holiday. There’s also so many more things people can do for Halloween compared to other holidays to the point where there’s something for everyone.”

One of the defining features of Halloween is the costumes, everyone dresses up.

Hyzer said, ”It’s the best holiday for people to pretend to be someone they are not and get a chance to express themselves in a new way.”

With everyone dressing up, there are going to be popular costumes this year.

Beckett said, “I think there are going to be a lot of Ken and Barbie costumes or Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce costumes this year.”

Whether you’re trick or treating, partying, or enjoying a fun Halloween movie marathon with friends, there are plenty of ways to spend your Halloween.

Vanacore said, “I love going to my friends’ costume parties and getting a bunch of costumes to wear. Also doing spooky nights, making creepy snacks, or even making blankets with my friends.”

Overall no matter what students did this Halloween, they made sure to make it the best Halloween yet.
