The sound of typing as everyone works in silence, the repetitive scratching of pencils on paper, and the calm, peaceful atmosphere set in just one classroom.
Algebra Teacher PaulDong teaches important math skills that can be used in everyday life, from budgeting money to understanding patterns and data.
At first, it may seem difficult to begin with, but each lesson is another challenge that helps students level up their math skills.
While other classes can sometimes feels stressful or boring, Dong’s class feels more interactive and supportive, which helps students stay motivated and confident in their math abilities.
Algebra coach, Dong, does a great job teaching because he explains problems clearly and helps students when they are confused. He is patient, organized, and makes sure students understand before moving on. He also encourages students to try their best and not give up when math becomes difficult.
“Mr. Dong is a good teacher, he explains problems good and in details, he always has a computer charger if you need one,” Freshman Evalette Padilla said. Another student added, “Mr. Dong is a really nice teacher, whenever you miss a school day he will give you the notes from the day before, and when you don’t understand nothing he explains it better,” Freshman Anette Martinez said.
Overall, Dong’s Algebra class is one of the best classes because it is educational, challenging, and enjoyable. Students leave the class with stronger math skills and more confidence in themselves.
