Millions of people gathered around the TV on February 6 to watch the musical event of the year: The Grammys.
Everyone itched in anticipation, waiting to see if their favorite artists won the categories they were nominated for.
However, if you couldn’t tune in to the ceremony, here are the highlights:
Bad Bunny made history by becoming the first artist to win Album of the Year for a primarily Spanish-language album: Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
More times than not, Bad Bunny and Comedian host, Trevor Noah had silly encounters which lead to Bad Bunny singing along with Noah to his song, Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
Hosting his final Grammy Awards, Noah didn’t just prepare simple jokes; he also sprinkled in some not-so-subtle political jokes while talking about rapper Nicki Minaj, who has recently faced backlash for her affiliation with President Trump.
After Billie Eilish and Finneas set a new record for winning Song of the Year three years in a row with their song WILDFLOWER, Noah said, “That’s a Grammy that every artist wants — almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton. I told you, it’s my last year! What are you going to do about it?”
Previously, before his bold jokes, this year’s artists who opened for the 2026 Grammys were Bruno Mars and Rose, performing their hit “APT.”
Additionally, in between the awards, Sabrina Carpenter sang her hit “Manchild” with an entertaining airport-themed set; Tyler, The Creator performed “Thought I Was Dead,” and “Sugar On My Tongue,” supported with a symbolic performance; Justin Bieber performed an intimate rendition of “Yukon.”
The Best New Artists Segment included performances from nominees Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, Sombr, and The Marías before the award was eventually given to Dean.
And special performances as tributes to those who lost their lives this year, sung by Reba McEntire, as well as the following: Lauryn Hill, accompanied by D’Angelo and Roberta Flack, performing alongside Wyclef Jean, John Legend, Chaka Khan, Jon Batiste, Lucky Daye, Leon Bridges, Raphael Saadiq, Bilal, and Lalah Hathaway.
But one thing that made this year’s Grammys so special was that it had a theme throughout the night.
While each winner spoke on the stage, there was one reoccurring message: everyone should stand together with nothing but love to overpower the hate in the world that we live in now.
Bad Bunny vocalized, “I know it’s tough not to hate these days, and I was thinking, sometimes we get contaminados (contaminated) – I don’t know how to say that in English – the hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love,” he said. “So, please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love.”
Beforehand, Billie Eilish proudly spoke, “I feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting. Our voices really do matter and the people matter.”
After winning record of the year, SZA expressed in her speech that despite having all the wars, plagues, the negatives and disparity, we need to trust in ourselves, “I just am a small part of this record, but what I really wanted to say is, please don’t fall into despair,” said SZA. “I know that right now is a scary time. I know the algorithms tell us that it’s so scary and all is lost. There’s been world wars, there’s been plagues, and we have to go on. We can go on. We need each other. We need to trust each other and trust ourselves. Trust your heart. We’re not governed by the government. We’re governed by God. And I thank you so much. So God bless.”
This being said, the complete list of the 2026 Grammy winners and nominees include:
