Quotes cover the whiteboard, trophies pile up on the shelf, and singing fills the room. This is Choir Teacher Tamara Krause’s Treble Choir classroom where you learn how to sight read and sing tons of fun songs. This class is engaging to be in. Krause makes sure every student is involved and nobody gets left behind. Krause’s class is where students can go to express themselves, get help on sight reading, and feel like part of a community. Krause’s class is like walking into a theater for your favorite musical. You are excited to see what’s being sung that night and you get the backstage pass to learn how to sing and perform like the performers you love. Krause has an amazing approach to singing, making sure no student gets left behind and helping everyone with clear, kind words. “Mrs. Krause is very funny and always helps anyone who needs help. She stays after school anytime a kid needs help. She is one of the best choir teachers I have ever had in my years of learning,” said Freshman Araceli Arredondo. Another student, Senior Mckenna Acosta said, “She is the best teacher I’ve ever had.” Everyone agreed that she is amazing. “She helped me be able to sight read,” Acosta said. Everyone can tell that she loves her job and loves to help the students of the school grow and develop their voices. If you’re interested in developing your voice, be sure to join the choir.
