Imagine being in a class where people laugh, learn, and actually enjoy being there every single day. That is how many students feel about Mark Ballesteros’s Spanish 1-2 class at Sunnyslope Highschool. His class is known for being fun and relaxed while also still helping students learn Spanish.
In Spanish 1-2, students learn basic Spanish words, phrases, and conversations. Students practice speaking, writing, and memorizing vocabulary. They also learn about Spanish culture and how to communicate in everyday situations. Even though students are learning a lot, the class still feels fun.The class is kind of like a fun game because students learn while laughing and talking with friends. Ballesteros makes lessons exciting instead of bland and boring. Ballesteros is a good teacher because he is funny, goofy, and makes students feel comfortable in class. He jokes around with students and keeps the class entertaining. Students also like that he does not give a lot of homework or too many assignments, which makes the class less stressful.
“He is a great person,” Freshman Israel Franco-Ashley said. Another person said how the classroom is like,”I love his classroom and how the posters on the wall are formatted,” said Freshman Weston Woodward. Freshman Allie Harden explained that Ballesteros doesn’t give “too many assignments at all,” Students who want a fun class with a good teacher should take Ballesteros’s Spanish 1-2 class. It is a great class for learning Spanish and having fun at the same time. Students should talk to their counselors if they want to sign up for the class.
