Kids chat while in the background a whiteboard screen shines displaying a dog image. in the back the dum dum box rattles as the two usual suspects take handfuls. The turn in box dripping with assignments in mediocre handwriting primarily writing performance based assessment averaging highly successful or outstanding. That one assignment reflects a year’s worth of growth, and expanded vocabulary in Amanda Morari’s Honors English class.
Morari’s class is where students expand their vocabulary, learn analysis of literature, and read at an exceeded level.
This class is like going to watch a new movie; it’s going to be a hit or a miss. Most of the time it’s like watching a disney movie, it never fails to be a hit. Morari takes her students through a rigorous course – students feel as if they just escaped the army fleeing to a castle to be saved by a beast.
Morari has a demanding class that students can learn from to improve in all sections of their work. The assignments are sometimes harsh, but rarely anything someone at an honors level couldn’t tackle. For this reason, she has patience with her students to walk them through the steps. She’s constantly filled with laughter, but maintains a good amount of professionalism while maintaining a great classroom environment.
“Shes very amusing, and she makes a class that’s harsh easier to be in with he laughter,” Freshman Liliana Beth said.
Others say her humor makes for a positive classroom environment with how much joy she brings to the room.
“ She cares deeply about her students, preparing them greatly for any exams or assignments,” Freshman Madeline Thompson said. Other students appreciate the burden taken off their shoulders by the way she gives out assignments to ease the stress of the process. “If you’re having a tough day she’s always there to talk to being a kind voice to hear,” said Freshman Elsa Higgs.
Everyone agrees she’s a teacher that truly cares about her students quality of education, and the only reason to not like her is because you don’t like laughter. If you know an 8th grader make sure to tell them to do honors with Amandafor Ms.Morari, she will never disappoint.
